Meet the Scientist Lecture Series | What to remember and what not to remember- molecular mechanisms of information processing in the brain

Dr. Anant Jain is a post-doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience in Dr. Ryohei Yasuda lab. Dr. Jain did his under graduation from SRM University in India with a major in Genetic Engineering and completed his bachelor’s thesis at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He received his PhD in Neuroscience from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

At MPFI, Dr. Jain works on novel synaptic plasticity mechanisms that underlie spatial navigation and memory. In addition to his scientific efforts, he serves as vice president of Indian Graduate students and Scholars association at Northwestern University and currently serves as the president of Postdoctoral Association at MPFI.
