Tracing the messengers in brain cells: from molecules to memory

Dr. Ruolin Fan was born and raised in Mainland China, she finished her Bachelor’s degree majoring in molecular biology, and a Ph.D. degree specializing in molecular neuroscience, both at the University of Hong Kong.

She just started her scientific career as a Postdoctoral Fellow this April in the Neuroenergetics lab of Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience. She has a general interest in psychology and mental health, always curious and fascinated by how the brain is wired to form personality. Still in the process of studying herself, sometimes as if studying a highly dynamic organism (which she is), or organelle (like mitochondria).
